Everyone loves screen caps from any of Johnny Depp’s movies.
These are a few of my favorite Sweeney Todd screen caps from the movie, Sweeney Todd staring Johnny Depp. Such a sad tale that started off by a young couple with a new baby; a pretty wife, a doting husband and a jealous judge. The judge finds a way to send Benjamin Barker off to prison in Australia while he tries to woo his wife.
The wife, Lucy Barker is inconsolable and spurns the judge's attentions. The judge takes his revenge on her by inviting her to a party on false presences, gets her drunk and gives her drugs then rapes her.
Lucy tries to commit suicide, fails at that and instead of going to a hospital is sent to Bedlam, a lunatic asylum. When she leaves Bedlam she is a broken woman, a beggar and infected with syphilis.
She roams the streets of London, especially the home of the judge who has taken Lucy's daughter, Johanna as his ward. He has the same grotesque designs on Johanna as he did Lucy and tries to marry her. At this point enter Sweeney Todd who escapes his prison, is found by a passing vessel and is brought to London.
When Benjamin Barker returns to London he finds out from Mrs. Lovette that his Lucy has committed suicide. He believes her and decides to make his life one of vengeance and will not rest until he has killed the judge.
